  • Anyone else finding that there are two measures that seem to be always add after the last cycle?

Is there a way to turn that off?

  • Is it free or just "free to download with a free trial"?

Seeing the same thing - suspect it might be related to count-in, but that’s just a guess from watching how it loops.

Bigger issue for me is how slow it is to render realtracks from the server. It is VERY slow for me. Perhaps in time they may be able to utilise a local server if you use the desktop BiaB…

Free for now… they have said they may monetise it in the future… IMHO it will need a LOT of polish before it is a viable commercial offering…

    OK, thanks!

  • Intro video, with mention of possible future monetization around the 5-minute mark (seems to be related to Real Styles/Real Tracks and server use) :

Yep - I installed it and you have to agree to the terms, and in there it indicates that the app may require purchase or subscription after one year after first use, subject to change without notice (as usual).

  • I tried it, but the wait time (if you are at a gig and doing it live) for the song to generate is way too long! If a paid subscription somehow gives a user a faster generate speed over freebie users, then it might be worth another look!

Wouldn’t you generate them before hand?

you could, but I could not find a way to save the downloaded real tracks and then use in a setlist...I could save the chord progression though.

Again, perhaps all things will be possible in the paid version??

From what I can tell the server doesn’t send realtracks - it sends a fully rendered file. Any changes at all, including volume or mute of parts, requires the server to regenerate again.
MIDI styles work differently but sound very ordinary - with no way to use other sound engines.

Same thing! whether as a rendered file or realtracks, it is the same end result.

I've gotten MIDI files out of it but they either need a lot of massaging to be tuneful, or too much massaging to be fun. Maybe something they'll work on?

But it's interesting for me to see (and to see what develops) since I only ever used the now-dead Jammer Pro and I know a lot of the wind synth players swear by Band-In-A-Box.

Perhaps allow (paid version only) users, at their choice, save the rendered files locally.

  • Yeah it definitely needs some work. I’d use it more as a practice tool at this point. I transfered a BIAB track I’m working on, on Desktop to the app…the results were not exact but it’s usable in a practice context.
