i tried all of the above you mentioned to no avail.

What you are describing has me scratching my head.

Can you try with the 2.0 beta? And if it is happening, I would love a screen recording that slowly show all settings including synchronization settings and Loopy’s system with the default project.

Do you have any Bluetooth audio devices involved?

  • no bluetooth, i tried a brand new project clean slate, and still same thing. im willing to try 2.0 beta, but seems like i have to go through leaps and bounds just to get the app and install it,
i tried to screen record but i had issues, it would not record sound all teh way, and it would glitch the screen.
one ting i have not tried, is to update my IOS, im on version 18.01 at the moment, i always refrain from installing latest IOS on my phone or iphad as it always ends up slowing down the system, its apples way to push us to buy a new unit.

  • what ever the issue is, im thinking it could be teh reason why i have that other issue with the DAW, they could be related...or not

Getting the beta is pretty straightforward.

Are you sure you turned off all the synchronization? Your earlier screenshots had a midi clock loop — predictably that will cause problems.

  • yes all synchronization has been turned off, last time i turned it off and it worked, but few days later the issue persisted.

What all is connected directly or indirectly to your iPad? This problem you are having is unique if sync is off.

  • i dont have much connected, Akai mini going through AudioFuse
your last message i decied to unplug everything and just use the ipad, and it worked just fine, i then plugged back the Akai and audiofuse and now it also works fine lol we are getting somewhere, great question on your last message,,,hmmm

Interesting. Is the audiofuse connected directly or through a hub?

  • Aki mini goes directly into audiofuse via USB

    How is the audiofuse connected?

  • audiofuse to monitors, ipad to audiofuse via USB-C converter, aki to audiofuse, simple setup

What exactly is the converter that sits between the audio fuse and the iPad?

Based on the unusual problems that you have had, you may need to to disconnect everything and power cycle everything before reconnecting to the rebooted iPad. It seems like something might be causing the timestamps coming from your Audiofuse to be jumbled in a way that reconnecting as you did yesterday solves.

  • that is a good point,
    this is what im using

Does that hub support power delivery (PD)?

  • edited May 2

i have no clue, i do know its apple verified and supported for Ipads, it wasn't cheap either, so this might be the cause, you have a good point, ill have to research on PD since i have no clue

USB-C hubs with PD (power delivery) can be attached to a USB-C power supply and pass that power on to the iPad.

  • the USB C multiport i have is connected to a power supply so the Ipad is always plugged in the outlet

i will play around with this idea and see what i come up with, but defiantly a step forward

Is the minifuse usb-powered or does it have an independent power-supply?

I have no idea what would trigger it, but what you have shown seems like the timestamps from the Arturia are sometimes becoming wacky. It sounds like unplugging it and reconnecting may reset that. It is unusual for something like that to happen. I am wondering if plugging the MPK into the hub rather than the minifuse might help. That is wild conjecture but perhaps worth a try.

my hub only has one USB port that thats the port that the audio fuse goes into, ill just deal with the issue for now as its not really something that will hinder my projects, but if i figure out the issue i will report back, thanks for all the help

  • looks like it was not the USB C hub, this issue happend again, i disconnected and reconnected the hub to no avail.
i might have to test loopy 2 beta to see if its my setup or loopy programming issue.

Do you still have a midi device plugged into your interface ? That seemed to be the issue last time.

Also, check the synchronization panel. Are there any clock sources enabled?

  • when i use the ipads built in digital midi ti works fine, but with external midi e.g akai miini i get this issue.
all synch is off, nothing is checked, this happens with my external synth machine as well.

Do I remember correctly that the Akai is plugged into the Arturia?

Try not running the Akai through your interface. What you report sounds like it is causing the timestamps from your interface to be erroneous.

What you are describing is exceedingly rare.
