    Hey, this was fun to hear. Apache was on the first album I ever bought; a compilation of guitar tunes played by Al Caiola. I didn't know about Hank Marvin so I've just been down a deep rabbit hole.

    Rather than shredding or soloing it was about articulation a well phrased melody people coil sing, hum or whistle. And of course, that verbed up tone that led to the most popular amps having a spring reverb.

    I hope you keep surveying the great players in these historic genres and eras.

    Do you “tap” in the style of EVH or maybe Satriani?

    I’m not really into tapping.
    Never really been interested by that technical approach.
    Eddie Van Halen is definitely one of my favorites,but not for this reason.
    He is such a creative musician+a Divine groover.
