Drambo - Note Locks / Playable P-Locks
Hi all, I have a new Drambo rack to share.
https://patchstorage.com/note-locks/
This lets you create a bank of p locks that you can play with midi input - perfect for making kits out of a single module set up. You can insert a drum sound or sampler on the rack and begin making alterations to play back via midi. With some small tweaks, this could also serve as a bank of preset sounds you could recall with a knob.
There’s some limitations - namely it’s not polyphonic, and it’s a bit hacky to use. But in lieu of being a core app functionality, it’s a great way to build up different sounds on one track without having to rely on layers or other ways of storing values, like CV sequencers or knobs and switches.

Thanks Ben.
Wow, thank you, Ben. I watched your video and this seems like an elegant upgrade to your One Shot Sampler. I cannot wait to play with this.
@Blipsford_Baubie This is the solution I’ve been working towards for a long time and it’s working out brilliantly for me. With a lot of the racks that I’ve made, the big lift in building and resource wise was all these connections for modulating and storing values. It all happens automatically and you even get visual feedback on the parameter changes. So something that would have to be wired up manually with sometimes 100+ modules is now super quick and simple. Only thing that could make it better for me is if it were an actual module without the inherent hackiness of using modules and features in a way they weren’t intended to be used.

Hi all, small collection of fun sampler instruments intended to be used with note locks. All three are in a project - you can download the project, then save each rack or track as a preset in Drambo.
@bcrichards - This is great. Thanks Ben!
I’ve always been a fan of your Note Locks, Ben, and it’s also nice to see that you’ve implemented the Fine offset function from your One Shot instrument.
Also, I really dug your untitled2026 EP.
Thanks @edzab and @Blipsford_Baubie . Musically this has probably been my most productive year in more than a decade. More coming 🤞🤞🤞
