Ircam ASAP spectral editors TestFlight

Ircam ASAP link

On this site you find a link to the to TestFlight apps ASAP Psycho Filter and ASAP Stretch Life. They are both spectral editors. iPad only.

They are really professional apps and if you've heard about the Ircam you know what level I am talking about.

Stretch Life brings Transient detection based time stretching to iOS. Like Beat markers in Ableton or how they are called.
Psycho Filter has to filter modes: clipping, which let's you gate everything below and above a certain threshold and pass, a filter that let's simply reduce levels anywhere in the frequency spectrum with temporal and frequency fading.
The most important part of both of those apps is there selection capabilities. From magic wand over shapes to regular rectangle selection.

The apps are standalone without AUv3 support, but that would be weird anyway, since they are audio editors.

Thnx for sharing - is there a user guide?

There is nice playlist of tutorials for it on YouTube on the ircam channel

You have to go through them and see which one is for the test flight apps.
It’s also a bit weird that they only released these two apps on test flight. It’s actually a much bigger suite for desktop. Some plugins and I think three editors. Could very well be they’ll release all of it for iOS some day?

  • if ircam gets in the ios game, maybe grm will follow. oh, that would be megaphat
