Bass synth compatible with iPhone & iPad?

I saw some great demos of Moog Mariana and almost bought it, but discovered its iPad only. I spend a decent amount of time messing around on my iPhone so I should probably get one that works on both devices. any recommendations for a good bass synth that isn't crazy resource intensive and works on all iOS devices? Thanks

+1, but the official Model D is resource intensive. You can make good synth bass with pretty much any VA synth, though.

Check out mood and King of Bass

“Agonizer” from Numerical Audio (Kai Aras) with the design input of @jakoB_haQ. Universal app that’s currently $9.99 for iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch or Apple Vision.

Kai’s apps ‘bite’ in a good way.

3 IAP Packs put together by @jakoB_haQ… lot’s of videos/demos for this one as I recall.

Indeed it does. Lowtone is fantastic, but even Flowtones is great for creating basses with as well as other synths mentioned above.

    Wow, no one mentioned Troublemaker?

  • Trooper.

I would've mentioned that one too, but I figured @wordup was looking more for an all-rounder. Troublemaker is more for a specific type of bass sound. But, nothing says they can't buy all of these synths. ;)

  • Also, you can use any synth and fatten it up with apps such as FAC Chorus or RealPhase.

  • I love most of the apps already mentioned. Other ones not mentioned yet that are on my list for basses are:

    Megalit
    DRC

    Both superb

  • i get perefect bass out of animoog

  • King of Bass by AudioKit Pro is a dedicated bass synth that works on all devices, is affordable and is very easy to dial in something useful. I'm not just saying that because it was just updated with a bank of presets by yours truly, either.

I do love the Moog apps but often they don't sit well in a mix for me--ALMOST TOO POWERFUL

Megalit is amazing! I need to dig more into DRC.

Adding to this already extensive list is the free Monolit synth! It is a mono synth, not polyphonic, but monophonic synths are perfectly fine for bass sounds since most bass sounds tend to be mono anyways.

Seems Troublemaker is all the bass I ever need.. very versatile.. wish it was on desktop.. pc.

Trooper is pretty great. Also OB-Xd, Agonizer, Zeeon, DRC, BLEASS Monolit, iMono/Poly, ODYSSEi, Microwave1, Buzz Zone, Mariana are excellent. We're so fortunate to have so many great developers and app choices these days.

Dagger - not sure how this one wasn’t mentioned, lol. Great option.
AK Pro - King of Bass
    Thumbjam - not AU
    Moodunits
    Troublemaker
    Etc…

Exactly. Monolit made my list also.

I mentioned Magellan 2 but ment its probably best synth I have. Even though a few others may have better sound quality. Marianna, Dagger. Find Magellan is still in the good sound quality list but with ease of use ( theres nothing I dont understand or cant be bothered to use ) The way it scrolls might suit iphone also. The festures like its arp. The lfos are good. Like even the lfo wave selector ( not rate ) is musical. X/y filter on screen. 3 osilators plus an fm. Spawn to create random presets. Extra macros knobs made with midi apps. Mpe. Dont really feel I need midi from a faderfox pc12 or Faderfox ec4. Made better with punchlab.

  • +1 for Dagger. It's a true bass monster with an exceptionally wide range of sounds and that fat bottom that only few synths have.

  • Dagger : best sound, best UI. <3
