How to record Patterning 3 in Logic Pro for iPad?
I can make a loop on Patterning, and can load Patterning into Logic Pro as a midi instrument. I can load the loop and it’ll play, but I can’t for the life of me work out how to record what is playing into the midi track. It’s so annoying and I’ve resorted to making audio tracks and copying them into Logic but it’s long winded.
I’m sure I’m missing something blindingly obvious and I’m embarrassed to ask, but anyone know how to do it?
Cheers

You should use. Totakeamidi. It allows you to DRAG and DROP midi output to most daws
Bro, botched this big time.
TAKEAMIDI
I think it’s still in beta
Is that an app: Totakeamidi? I just looked on the App Store and nothing surfaced.
I just did a quick test and immediately was able to record midi to the piano roll with no fuss. Do you have midi out set on the patterning tracks?
Probably means takeamidi by Alexei Nadzarov (weirdly named apps or something like that)
Thanks…I feel a bit foolish. But I will get over it and realize I am foolish and move on.
I just bought the takeamidi app for $2 and I think it fills a need on my workflow to capture
MIDI segments after playing for a while and stopping to save that last 10 seconds.
Please don't, I have it and only realised that's what he meant after getting lucky on a google search. 😊
I hadn’t, so now but it’s still not working. Is it something to do with how I’ve set up the track?
Apologies @Berby - I don't know how I managed to misread Cubasis when you said Logic Pro. 🤷🏼♂️
Sorry, I can't be of help with Logic Pro.
So near yet so far! Thanks anyway
Yes, sir. One of my most used apps. I use it a lot with Riffler and helium. Being able to drag and drop and not having to worry about queuing things up is great. Glad it worked for you. It’s feature rich in the data it can capture w/ inter app drag and drop. All of Alexei’s app are great midi tools. Midifruuuze is a fun one, while takeamidi is just absolutely practical for our needs.
