3rd Party Kontakt library recommendations

edited April 18 in Desktop

Hey all I’m curious what are some of your fav 3rd party kontakt libraries…if anyone here uses kontakt that is..

I don’t use any orchestral or cinematic sounds, so I’m not really in the market for those, but almost anything else is on the table…

I picked up a couple really dope ones recently…

Vibe rewind.. This is the best vhs type synth I’ve heard yet and the creator did an amazing job.. its on sale until sunday for 40$ and you can find a 5$ coupon online as well..

Soulfi from teletone audio… maybe the most amazing instrument for acoustic drums I’ve ever found,, and I’ve used hundreds of them

My mate Pendle at Sound Dust makes some really interesting and inspiring libraries...

    https://www.sound-dust.com/

Szcz's instruments are also a lot of fun...

  • I wish Native Instruments would realize the potential to make hundreds of dollars from an IOS port of sound me of there assets. I was hoping Modartt could open the door to someone me of the better desktop apps. MI chips proved plenty of power.

    We ARE worthy but cheap.

I wanted this too, still would be open to it… but honestly the struggle of arranging songs on iOS for me brought me back to Ableton! And dang I’ve been substantially more productive! Arranging is a much less daunting task… its a lil more expensive but you can do a lot more with less. Those 5-20$ apps add up especially when most of them sit unused

He's your mate? I'm a big fan of his stuff, so this is a seconding of that.

His studio isn't far from me and I've been testing his libraries before release for a while now - some of the demos on the product pages are mine...

  • I haven't had a working desktop for about 2yrs, and I haven't used kontact at all to this point

That said, I've had Super Audio Cart at the top of my brain wishlist for when I can drop legit cash on software (if you ever listened to How Did This Get Played, it's how their producer made all of the one-off theme songs altering it to mimic the specific episode's games. They talked with him about in an ep years ago. Been at the top of my list since. Incredible collection of old systems sound engines. Now the podcast is just called Get Played if you're curious)

Hi, not sure if this counts as 3rd party, as I'm the party, but anyhoo, brace yourselves for a shameless plug... :#

So a few years ago, I was doing some freelance KONTAKT work, and also found the time to sneak out one of my own instrument ideas under the guise of Waverley Instruments called Synthetic Materials, in case you've not heard of it.

By far its most popular feature was the ability to quickly make new instruments from your own samples using as many C and F# as you can spare.

Currently half-price for around 15 USD, works with the Free Player:

    https://waverley-instruments.com/synthetic-materials

There are also quite a few demos on the same channel with download links for the samples. Here's a "fun" one using frozen reverb samples...
