Timmy’s In The Well
Has anybody seen Timmy?
It’s getting dark and he should be home by now!
Look… I think Lassie’s trying to tell us something.

Not sure if Alt Rock as you hashtagged or Post Rock, but whatever this is, I friggin love it! So well crafted.
Did you do the guitar playing mate?
Another fun one. I particularly like the way you used Riffler in this one.
Hope all is well with you and yours.
Great stuff Paulie!
That's what SoundCloud suggested, so I just went with it. I don't even know what "shoegazing" is. Sounds like something people do after getting stoned. Oh well, I just tag all my stuff as Paulieworld. The guitar parts are all Riffler. I'm surprised I don't see it being used that much. Then again, we have some extremely skilled guitar players here in the forum, so it makes sense that they don't use it. It's supposed to be 80 today. Summer is finally here!
It was fun! I accidentally discovered a pattern using bass and drums, with the Cubasis Stereo Delay effect. I just made a few loops and ran with it. It was originally supposed to just fade out, but I had dragged a few bars of material past the end locator and forgot about them. It faded out nicely, then BOOM WTF. I decided to keep it. The drum parts were inspired by an article I read about Rick Allen, drummer of Def Leppard. He lost an arm in a car accident, but persevered. I'm not a fan of their music, but he is an inspiration. I was trying to sound like a one armed drummer!
All is well here. Weather is getting nice. I moved my directors chair out to the patio this weekend! Peace, bro.
I have no idea what genre this falls into, but I thought it was a fun little tune. Thanks for listening. Have a great week!
Nice use of Riffler Paul and that second ‘Timmy’ made me jump, great imagination as we’ve come to expect 👌
Hi Tony. Hope all is well. I’m sitting outside in my comfy chair right now. It’s a beautiful night. Neighbors are walking by with their dogs. Old Jim just walked by with Dixie. She’s such a good girl… oh yes you are Dixie…you’re such a good girl. Karen is currently at church praying for sinners like me. She’s bringing home BLT sandwiches for dinner. I hope I’m still awake when she gets home. Oh well, on Judgement Day, I’ll say… I’m with her!
This silly track was based on an old TV show called Lassie. Did you ever see that? It was just good old fashioned family entertainment before everyone got crazy. The Timmy sample was from South Park. A bizarre, twisted comedy that appealed to me like a train wreck. My favorite character was “Chef” voiced by Isaac Hayes. Google Chocolate Salty Balls! It’s getting windy so I’m going in to my comfy couch. Peace, bro.
I think Timmy went down there for some peace and quiet 🫨 maybe he could record some samples down there.

Music is church😉
Takes me awhile to get around to listening so here’s a well deserved bump. I really like this one. Im telling you your more recent stuff is more…. coherent maybe? Can’t put my finger on it. Maybe better transitions between sections? Did you consciously do something different? Maybe I’m just nuts. Anyway it’s not silly. It’s fun. Big difference. Your creativity-on-overdrive is on full display.
Enjoy the weather while you can. But beware of statements like “ Summer is finally here!” I’ve always said that spring in Chicago is a cruel hoax.
Much truth to that. Ask… “where does music come from”. Just had a brief exchange with @LinearLineman that touched on this.
Good one, Paul.. we’re all in the well these days.
Cool @Paulieworld I like the riffler implementation. Well done 👍
As they say... if you don't like Chicago weather, just wait a minute. I moved my patio furniture out last weekend and hope to start using it soon. I love to sit outside with my iPad and a cool drink. All my troubles just disappear. Happy Tuesday.
@Edward_Alexander Riffler is a great little app. For $15. it sounds pretty realistic and costs less than lunch for two at McDonalds. I could probably get more out of it if I read the manual. Maybe tomorrow.
@LinearLineman Whenever I feel like I'm in the well, I think of the story about the farmer and his donkey. Lots of crying and despair at first. In the long run, everything worked out.
Thanks for listening, gentlemen!
Good one!
Missed this one, sounds great! Who needs a guitarist when you have Riffler!?
Looking forward to an aquatic remix featuring Flipper.
@Slush @pbelgium Thank you, gentlemen. Riffler is great if you just want some guitar in the track. Not really that good for a strong melody to build on. At least, I haven’t figured out how to make it do that. I’m open to any ideas. Hope your weather is as nice as mine. I’m sitting on the patio smelling fresh cut grass and playing with my iPad.
