Developer Interview – Christopher Rice aka ”Holderness Media”

It is Monday and time for a new haQ piQ of the week!

This time I've managed to get an interview with an app developer known for
his excellent FX apps.

Thanks. Great interview and a great read. Lots of interesting stuff in there, one thing I've been thinking about lately, because it's being brought up more and more now (and an issue that was raised in the interview), is the AppStore reviews and the inability for devs to answer/leave a comment. I hope Apple implement a system where devs simply can leave a comment under a review, seems to work well on various review sites.

  • Bump. You're doing great work Mr haQ.

  • Thanks guys! :)

  • @ChrisG Yeah I don't think it's fair not letting the Devs commenting on reviews.

  • Another thing, I have every app that Christopher Rice (Holderness Media) has made, and I got them one by one separately. And because of that, I can't review the bundle. Now people who purchased the bundle cannot review single apps.

  • Good read, Thank you both. Loving grandfathers, App Store pricing, Sriracha and a soon to be released compressor. All good stuff.

This jumped out at me; happened to me many times (including dub!):

I love that about music, how sometimes a style can influence you deeply before you even realize it has, through its influence on other artists you’ve been listening to for years.

Yeah, for me it was Ska, Rocksteady, Roots Dub and Reggae. :) Can't get it out of my system and I don't want to either! :)
