How does one record midi into LoopyPro (beta) midi loops (inside AUM) - I apparently am an idiot
I thought it would be as simple as routing a midi source inside of AUM to loopy. I tried routing to both the Midi and the Audio “versions” inside AUM.
I’m obliviously missing a step or two

Please post screenshots of your routing in AUM and in Loopy Pro and your AUM mixer
Will do. Thanks for your attention and response.

Now all you need is a midi source in Loopy. Tap the + button at the bottom-right corer of Loopy's mixer, then Add MIDI. Add MIDI In. It'll automatically route to all the colors.
You're probably a lot better off adding Loopy as an Audio Effect than as a MIDI Processor though. That way you have the ability to route Audio and MIDI into Loopy, and you'll also have the ability to add multi-in/out instances. The internal MIDI routing in Loopy is the same though.
Thanks @wim I knew I was missing a damn step
@audiblevideo : and to send midi out, set the destination to MIDI Out.
You can set up channel filters and re-channelizing if you want to drive different midi devices from different colors.
I take it I still have to predetermine how long of a midi or audio loop I want to record? (If so where are those settings - newb me asking)
Turn off Recording Auto Count Out at either the Global, Color, or Clip level.
Danke
You do not have to predetermine how long you want a loop to be — and never have.
There most be a misunderstanding somewhere.
If auto recording auto count-out is on then recording will stop at either the master clock length or the loop length. I think the question was about how to avoid that.
@audiblevideo : I suggest going through each of the tutorial projects in Sample Projects in Loopy Pro standalone. It will take you through some important fundamentals. They don’t take long to go through.

Oh noes @Pxlhg is self censoring — lol
Haha, yeah I have a sensible moment every now and then (thank you for noticing😉)
