It's well worth even for you who know your way around GR2. The info and interview with Jim is just a through* gem. It didn't feel that long either, I really reacted when I saw 1hr40min, but, no problemo. Also for me, I learned: a lot!

    *edit: true ofc

Nice! I know I'll like this a lot better than sitting through a movie that isn't "Pulp Fiction". 😂

As usually - great video. Literaly made me return back to GR2 and start to play with it again.. It’s really masterpiece, no doubt, there are sime pretty cool details i did not noticed first time.. Pribably going ti stay with it fir some time .. There is really soo much love put into this app !!

And Jakob is absolute master of these docutorials. Initially had a plan to watch some Netflix crap today evening but having soo much better time with Jakob’s 1h 44m video .. Big thanks @jakoB_haQ

    Side note:
I was shocked realising that Jim actually lives in Kyiv and he even had to go to shelter during interview because of Russian drones attack. Just horrible what people in Ukraine are experiencing for straight 3 years ..

Yeah, me too. Fucking sad is what it is. Lucky for me I've never experienced anything coming even close to that. Hopefully I never have to.

But, the sections about The Prodigy was so much fun to hear about, it made me lighter again.

  • Great video of a great app. The music of Jakob is crazy good all along it. For me, GR2 is not a groove-box nor a DAW. It’s something in between that is very pleasant to use and fulfill my expectations…except for the missing possibility to use AuV3 in IFx. This really kills me and apparently it will not be implemented in a futur release. Too bad…

  • @jwmmakerofmusic : Remember “Zed” from Pulp Fiction ? I got him his first acting audition w a major casting director who I knew . I actually gave him the idea to become an actor .. He was a photographer then.

If that's a true story, that's pretty awesome! "Zed" was a very memorable character despite the actor's shortlived screen time. If you're still in touch with the actor, tell him he was phenomenal.

last couple of week drone attacks were almost daily here.
but yeah, we became sort of used to that.

Just horrible. I am from Slovakia (yeah, that country where prime minister is pro-russia idiot 🤬) so it touches me a really lot when i see how my neighbour country is suffering. Europe should help Ukraine MUCH more than it does now. Hold strong !

Of course it’s true..Nah not in touch anymore..Hadn’t seen him in years..He sure was a charismatic guy in real life though..

Mother fking Dorian from The Mask?! I love Peter Greene! Thanks for giving him the push that led to countless hours of entertainment

The Mask was one of the first vhs tapes I practically wore out from letting it auto rewind and auto play over and over (first was TMNT2, then the mask, followed by hackers and finally mallrats... All four graced with a way-ahead-of-its-time lofi wobble by the end of their runs)

Also, something something gr2, to stay on topic. Definitely not just here fanboying out or anything 😅

Wait, he was also Dorian?! I didn't know that!

  • That's awesome! It's awesome you knew him.

It's creepy how most of the Wikipedia article about Peter Greene is written in the past tense, like he's dead.

I’m from Australia…. a long way from all of this but it saddens and disturbs me greatly. So much more so when you hear new like this.

I thought Jakob’s video was fantastic and it was great to hear and learn about Jim/Dimitry.

I’ve been loving GR2 and I understand why after the docutorial.

As of yet no one seems to have done a video on the superb midi control features of GR2. I was thinking I might give it a crack because I have a launchpad mini and a launchpad pro. Plus, I think the midi control capabilities of GR2 possibly exceed anything else on iOS that I have used. It really brings the hardware vibe to an amazing piece of software.

    I don’t see that .

Initially after GR2 was launched i tried it but it somehow did not clicked with me. Dunno why, this usually doesn’t happenm to me … Anyway, i put it away.

After jakob’s video i decided to give it second round.

After a few days i can now say - i fell in love. I started to like it a LOT. Looks like it will be my main iPad production tool for some time.

    So, Thanks @jakoB_haQ and thanks @jimpavloff !

That'll be awesome, let us know if you go on and do that, I have a Launchpad Mini and I've never really befriended it, except maybe when this guy here (can't remember who, so sorry) made a template for recording with Koala (I might still have it on the computer) but now it's only the colours from it left but it doesn't react in Koala.

yeah, that's definitely in top-3 reasons why i chose GR2 as software part of my hybrid live setup (hardware part is Circuit Tracks, and of course LP Mini when i get it back – i lent mine Jim to work on its support in GR2).

I have YT channel with random stuff I have done in the past. Mostly Mozaic related. No jams. Definitely not a pro YTuber. I just thought it would be worth sharing as I think it's a strong point for GR2.
