A generative Ambient patch
Thanks to @giku_beepstreet 's inspiration and a cup of delicious Espresso.

Uses Drambo only.

Messed around with this patch this morning - no eq, mixing, mastering, just vibes.
I lowered the lfo rate to give it a drone type effect and washed it with more reverb.
Automated the patch to go even slower over 5 patterns to make a small song out of it.
I didn’t want to overthink the quality of the song or video ( iykyk) so I posted it.
I’ll probably deconstruct the patch a little more to see what’s possible 🤷🏻♂️
The project, on initial start up, is quite different and very fun, I edited the patch for my own use case while learning from deconstructing it, and stumbled on a sound I just liked. Just wanted anyone who stumbles on this to know that
Thanks to @giku_beepstreet 's inspiration , @rs2000 for enjoying that espresso and choosing to share this on Patchstorage. Cheers!
Interesting @offbrands! That's quite a different vibe now.
Thanks for posting, I like it!
Cheers
Brilliant patch @rs2000
It’s cool that it’s all on one track!
I’ll have a play with this tonight.
Thank you for sharing! Was a nice session this morning.
Originally I had a plugin on a reverb send and realized why not just do it all Drambo, I probably will record a whole session messing around use this as a jumping off point.
It’s a fun approach you shared, I really enjoy it. Thank you again!
Hi @rs2000,
Thanks a lot for the patch – I really like it!
I'm still fairly new to this, so I can't immediately tell:
What would be required to make the patch run in F pentatonic?
Or do you think that might not work well for some reason?
Best regards,
ImproEns
Thanks!
The Pitch modules with nominators and denominators were a deliberate choice to break out of fixed scales and go the experimental path.
Quantizing to the F pentatonic scale is easy though:
I'd recommend to place a CV Quantizer module after each Pitch module, set each one to F Pentatonic scale notes and connect the Oscillators to the CV Quantizers instead.
If you want to switch scales on the fly, you can use scenes and the scene x-fader to store different note combinations (i.e. scales) of the CV Quantizers into different scenes A to P.
This is a great patch, thank you.
