Brooklyn Bop Cory Wong Cover , Auria Pro, Yamaha Montage
I still have fun using Auria pro with the fabfilter plug ins and the Yamaha Montage with its 16 USB outs. Liked this Track by Cory Wong . So I tried. it sounds more old school than the original . Not intended. hm... The hardest to make was the drum track triggering some custom samples loaded into Yamaha Montage. And the single Brass lines. and mixing with haeadphones (can't make noise) is a problem. Always checking in the car....

Sure thing. Hey I’m curious. i haven’t given this any thought till now – probably cause I’ve been putting in the effort towards ear training, but when you do your covers, are they by ear? Or sheet music? Or a combination of both?
I realize everyone is different, but I’m curious of your process, since this is something you do regularly on the forum.
If i was familiar with the music you covered, i could probably answer my own question, but i don’t. Cheers!
@Blipsford_Baubie this is only by ear. The drum track, the chords. Analysed so many songs in my Live…
That is really awesome and something i aspire to do. I can find my way around a melody and bass, but not the notes in between, and also not without noodling around first.
I can read sheets to . Learned that from Childhood. Played in varietyshow bands. Had to read and learn fast…
Really inspiring product here… makes me want to take my projects more seriously. But it will pass and I’ll keep
