Best setup onstage play live (apps and midi controller)

Hello,
i'm completely new to the world of iOS music making and I'm fascinated by the amount of possibilities!
I'm a guitarist and I would like to improve my band sound using some cool app. We are now recording some stuff and we use a lot of Drum Machine, Synth and orchestral sound. Now We would like to play live these sounds through iPads, I think is more easy and portable than laptop. So i'm searching for the best setup to organize my sound through app and midi controller.

What I need mainly? a Drum Machine by which I can pre-save patterns and switch between them in real time. I need also some loop function and I would like to control drum parts (clap, snare, fx, etc) in real time through a midi controller. I love DM1, but I read that midi implementation is not so good. Which is the best iOS drum pad with great midi implementation?

In addition, I would like to use some synth and piano. I assume than I need another iPad in order to do that (it's not a real problem, my band is apple addicted!). But the point is: I'm able to switch between more instruments (like a rhodes and strings) at the same time using the same iPad? Can I use one midi controller or I need more ? Like, can I have two midi controller connected to the same iPad or one controller that control two sounds simultaneously ?

Alternatively, if this setup seems too much complicated, There is a way to make it simpler ? Like there is a one all-in-app that can manage drum sample, keyboards, loop function (...) using an external controller ?
Loop HD, for exemple, is great to lunch preloaded parts, but there is no possibility to play sounds in real time, isnt'it?

Thak you very much for your kind attention, greetings

I don't have the answers but I was pretty impressed with this Rheyne video on Discchord this morning that might give you some ideas:

Looks like he's using a Lemur template?

    :O

    pretty impressive!

    Nobody else?

  • I liked his other 106 better. Seriously though, yes he's pretty amazing, and I think he uses Lemur quite often. The description breaks his setup down, and he's definitely using Lemur in this one.

  • I saw on another website where you can download the lemur and ableton templates that he's using.
