I made an experimental “krell” patch using only the mixer in koala sampler.

No samples or quokkas were harmed in the the making of this radiophonic monstrosity. Using the test tones for a sound source and getting around the lack of envelope generators with liberal use of filters was very fun, it’s nothing serious and purely a fun experiment, but it’s crazy what you can do without using samples in koala.

That's a cool idea. It's almost like NoInputMixer sounds...

Thanks! Yeah it’s kind of faked feedback loop stuff, the ring mod does all of the heavy lifting, luckily marek put an lfo on it which is awesome. I think you could get even more no input mixer style if you use the mic input “effect” on the channel mixer but I’m kind of scared of that ☠️

I played around with it some, I wasn't really aware there was a test tone option. So much fun and I gotta say, this can do some awesome sounds. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. I will try to do something with it, if not anything else, getting some sweet samples.

  • @sevenape This is magical. Love it!

  • This is dope! Haunting almost.

Are you playing the volumes live or is it being automated?

Thank you so much!! Xxx so the volumes are fading in and out using the autopanner with the stereo dial set to zero and the depth to full.

I did fade in at the beginning and out at the end though!
