Guitarcapo+ and cubasis

Hi, im having troubles getting the midi from guitarcapo+ in cubasis via interapp audio, no sound at all when playing from the cubasis keyboard, in guitarcapo there is sound but no option to record shows up, from what i understand in the description in the App Store this is possible, what am i doing wrong?, i create a midi track and then select guitarcapo from the apps available. Maybe im missing something?.

Thanks in advance for any help

  • I'm not clear on what you're trying to do. What's confusing is that you're saying you're trying to get GC midi into Cubasis, but then you mention using the keyboard in Cubasis. I tested using the keyboard in Cubasis to drive GC, and had a separate audio track using IAA to bring GC's audio back into Cubasis, and that worked well.

I dont use Cubasis, but check if there is a record monitor option.

Im not clear on your intended outcome, send midi from Cubasis to CG+?

    Edit: gotta start refreshing.

Im very inexperienced with cubasis but usually when i create a midi track and select an app (sampletank, ifretless bass, etc) from the instrument list, i can control the app from the cubasis keyboard and then record the midi from the app in cubasis, with guitarcapo i tried to do the same but no sound shows up

If you're controlling the app from Cubasis' keyboard, you won't get midi coming back from GC, unless it has midi pass through, which most do not. You can record the audio coming from GC that was triggered by playing the keyboard in Cubasis. You don't need AudioBus to do it, but I used it for saving the states. Here's how I did it...

    Audiobus preset 'Cubasis Capo': http://preset.audiob.us/tvynSln1fsCwLEN

Note that if you record enable both tracks, you will record the midi sent by Cubasis and the audio returning from GC.

  • Hi there,

I know from reliable sources that midi pass through will most likely be a setting in the next version of GC+. Can see good use of it when thinking triggering the chord displays as pads from an external midi controller and would suit well with custom chords ;)

General question about hardware "pads" like i.e. the the iRig Pads: All pads are configurable with respect to which MIDI note/message that is triggered and that way comparable with the keys on a "normal" MIDI keyboard?
