nothing i am aware of, not even remotely close ... we definitely need more faithful reproductions of HW classics :)

i vote for roland variphrase/v-synth on ios.
we are already flooded with subtractive.

  • Zeeon is an amazing analog-modeling synth that has audio-rate modulation and a few different filter types. You might want to check out VAMonoMkII

  • Would be nice to have. There's one for PC/Mac... Moog Model D is the closest I know of for iPad but it has a different filter section.

well, it has different filter, different oscillators, different architecture and very different sound..

Basically only thing rhey have in common is that rhey are synths 🤣

  • U-he REPRO-1/5 for iPad would be great

  • The only Prophet emulation of any kind on iPadOS is the Arturia Prophet VS:

You’d probably get close doing mono with this OB-X emulation:
    https://apps.apple.com/us/app/ob-xd-3-auv3-synth/id6654915211
Since the Pro One and OB-X use the Curtis CEM 3320 filter 🙏 you’ll probably need to adjust the envelope to be faster

Prophet VS and Pro One are very different synth, don't get fooled by name. Pro One is fully analog mono synth, Prophet VS is hybrid synth with digital "vector synthesis" oscillators (something like Korg Wavestation)

Also Atruria's recreation is bad as fuck :-)) Personally for me their worst HW reproduction by large margin :)))

Behringer's Pro-1 clone is quite decent, right?

  • Perhaps Cherry Audio will take on the challenge since they’re soon to bring their skills to iPadOS.

  • hell yeah, decent emulations of Pro One and SH-101 are two things i miss on iOS most.

very good .. i would say great :-)

Valley “Interzone” in miRack is basically a kind of SH101 clone ..

The Pro1 is quite nice. It has some great sweet spots when tweaking. Fairly basic mod section, but nice snappy envelopes.
Here’s a little 4 track ambient jam I recorded into Cubasis 2 with Korg’s ms70 cdr fx about 4 years ago

i use that, and sound-wise it's really good.
but running the whole miRack thing for one particular module is rather cumbersome kind of solution, especially when it comes to preset management.
i'd prefer something like TAL-Bassline-101 on iOS, it would be huge time saver.

Hi Dendy! Yes indeed I would use a Pro One and an SH-01. Heck if I knew anything about programming I would make them.

I did have the Behringer Pro-1 and yes it is a great synth and very faithful recreation. I have two problems with it: first- the lowest note it can play is a C1, I wanted it for bass so wanted a lower register. Second- you cannot save presets which I have now determined is a must have for me. Many IOS versions of synths can play a wider range of notes via midi and often have presets and the ability to solve your own.

I sold the Pro-1, Berhringer MS-1 and Odyssey because of the lack of being able to save my patches.
I got the Korg Odyssey for iOS and yay presets and I got the Roland S-1 tweek synth and yay presets! So I am looking for a Pro-One with the ability to save patches

Jax SH-116 Omni is in development I think. The dev usually releases on iOS.

    well … sort of.
it's not THAT gritty at its extremes – but mostly is pretty close.
and it's my favorite bass/lead machine – but not that portable as, say, S-1, so would not reside in a backpack constantly.

I found the Dev's web site was a bit odd and couldn't find if its due anytime soon. I'll have a proper look later.

  • Zeeon in mono mode would get you close to the sound.

Does anyone here know the Wave Alchemy "Pro II" Kontakt library?
It's the best sounding sampled Pro-One that I've played so far.
Maybe someone finds the time to make a sampler instrument for iOS from it.
