Synthtronica - took a chance
There's a one line blurb on apps4devices that Synthtronica is going to be updated. No info on what or when. I hope it's Audiobus and Sonoma ACP. Took a chance and bought it. Normally I'd pass on a synth that did not have the modern sound integration and hasn't been updated in two years but that formant based synth engine looks and sounds cool. For 4.99 I bought a lottery ticket.

SynthTronica has had Sonoma ACP for nearly two years. Unfortunately, the next update will not have Audiobus, it will have Midi support and increased polyphony on late model iPads. But... if enough folks clamor for Audiobus it may happen in the next few months now that the SDK is public.
@leisuresonic YES, Audiobus support please (is that "enough folks"?)
We have rapidly got to the stage that ALL serious music apps should have Audiobus. It's that important imho. It's kinda like offering a pro keyboard with no stereo audio outputs but only a headphone socket.
What PhilW said. An iOS audio app would have to seriously impress my pants off at this point for me to buy it without AudioBus support. Crazy that it's only been a few months.
If I was performing live a lot I could see getting a synth or processor without AB support but I don't, so I wont!
@leisuresonic I await with cash in hand ready for the Audiobus update......Synthtronica looks unique and could be a great addition to anyones Audiobus collection.
I just got this really positive mail back from Leisuresonic when asking if they will support Audiobus....
Hi David,
Not in the next update but hopefully soon after. An update with Midi support will be next, and soon. It is currently being tested.

Yay! A lottery winner.
@TedBPhx how is the synth ?
Want to get it but I also need to stop spending shameless amounts of money on apps...
Agreed with @DaveMagoo have kept an eye on it but haven't gotten it and need to stop the financial splurging and attend some AA (Appaholics Anonymous). How is Synthtronica? What does it do better or different than other apps?
Yes, Audiobus please!
This was one of my very first apps, and I still use it quite often, but for sure it would be more flexible on the bus.
Things I like - once I spent 30 minutes appreciating the interface instead of fighting it I was able to paste in a vocal phrase, trim it, easily turn it into a synth sound object base -a formant, apply filters, LFO modulators, play it using a truly versatile array of keyboards, lock it to scales, modes and tunimgs and have a ball.
There are oodles of built in formants and presets but I wanted my own just see what was involved. Dead simple to Sonoma ACP. Fun to audio doodle with.
What's truly weird but charming is the way it insists on naming everything for you. I guess BogusFlyover is more meaningful than the usual date/time stamp approach.
This is a wonderful synth. A welcome addition.
Been playiin a lot with Vio app. Was able to duplicate most vio voice manipulation in Synthtronica.
When, soon please?, it gets AB this will be worth twice the current price.
Vio app on the bus is also a must have in the effects slot for anyone interested in voice rendering.
