Loopy Pro 2 bug report - midi transposed?

I think also a problem for old version. Midi signals from external devices seem to be transposed an octave before reaching au3. For example both Sitala and Koala trigger pad 1 on C1.
Tracing the midi with midi sniffer, I can confirm that neither devices respond to C1 but do for C2. This is for two separate controllers. Given that its on two Au3 and two controllers, looks more likely Loopy problem?

Octave numbering is not standardized and there are two common conventions an octave apart. This isn’t a bug. You just need to know what numbering system different apps use and adjust accordingly. This had been true since MIDI was first adopted. Roland and Yamaha famously called middle C (midi note number 60). Yamaha called it C3 and Roland C4.

The midi only says that note number 60 is middle C.

  • Awesome - thanks for the info!

Maybe you could change the thread title to indicate that this isn’t a bug?
