  • Nice to hear from you, LL! A new listen just in time for the weekend 👍

  • What is it about guys named Bill Evans? The other one (the sax player) grew up near me in Clarendon Hills. I once owned a home there with what’s her name. I wish I had bought her out. Bought the place in 85 for 72K. Sold in 21 for 335K. Currently listing for 438K. Go figure! The back yard still looks like shit. The bathroom is still exactly the same as dad and me remodeled it. They call it 3 bedroom, but it’s actually 2BR and a basement. Those wide angle shots make it look so big. Not so much. 124 Mohawk Drive. It’s so fucking trendy now.

Lovely tracks, bro. My favorite is Laura. That horn has such a smooth tone. Reminds me of a girl named Laura that I dated in high school. We met while working at Ponderosa Steak House. I was a broiler chef and she was a salad girl. Mom didn’t like her. She said she looked slutty. I rather liked that about her.

Hope you’re having a great day. I took a vacation day today for a 4 day weekend. We just got back from lunch at Emilio’s Tapas in Hillside. Always outstanding, and not too expensive. I think we got out of there for $100 and change. That included a bottle of killer wine. Dark red, opaque, dry as dust and really tart. The kind that makes me pucker up. That’s a wine snob term.

On the way home we stopped at Al Capone’s grave at Mount Carmel. Karen took a picture of me. I was going to post it, but I look like a complete dork. Must have been the wine.

Anyway, it’s quite a lovely day here and I’m feeling chatty. Not cold, not hot, juuuust right. Sitting outside smelling freshly cut grass, and some sort of weed killer that smells like gin. I think I’m starting to ramble. I’m just a rambling man, you know. Karen is calling me and wants me to rub some lotion on her back. I guess it’s time for leaving. I hope you’ll understand. Peace and love, bro.

  • Thanks @gusgranite. Nice to hear from you.
@Paulieworld how do you maintain your trim and youthful physique? How you must strive! Have a salubrious weekend my friend.

@LinearLineman. So great to hear your tracks again!! I haven’t listen to all of these yet, but I love what I have heard so far. There are some stunning chord moments in that first bill evans one. Cool, I will have some more LL tracks to listen to over the weekend. Hope you have a great Memorial Day!
