Have a Cigar - Pink Floyd (Loop Jam)

Hope you all are doing well. I've been keeping a low profile, but felt inspired to share a little loop jam with some improvisation at the end.

I got a Launchpad for Xmas so I've been learning that as well as drum lessons. Getting a little better everyday, or at least trying to :D

There’s something to be said about laidback grooves and loose timing, I strive to program my synths and drums to breath, not be too locked

Thanks! That truly means a lot to me to hear that.

That improv solo at the end felt so good to play. Looking back, there are moments I'm like "how the fk did I do that?" That's when you know you're just riding the wave 🤙

  • Great jam! What software/apps are you using?

  • As a huge fan of Pink Floyd, this is amazing! Yeah, which apps?

  • The brief keyboard solo sent me over the moon. The guitar solo sent me to the dark side of the moon.

Thank you kindly! A mixture of mobile and desktop: Both keys and piano going into my iPad, using Logic for bass (Studio Bass), Wurli is Pianoteq, synth solo is a blend of Alchemy and mini Moog.
I have all that routed into Ableton through my MoTU interface.
Then the Launchpad is hooked into Ableton for the easy looping.
Oh yeah, guitar is plugged straight into my interface and using a couple Neutral DSP plugins for the tone and effects.
