Don't change tempo when manipulating samples
Hi! Is there a way to turn off that when I change the sample length of a sample loaded in a donut, that it affects the project tempo? Let's say I loaded a drum break and time stretched it, but want to remove a part of the loop, then it somehow affects the overall tempo of the project. Thanks in advance!

Are you talking about a situation where there is only one clip in the project? If so, currently loopy will adjust the project tempo (as it thinks the length of that one clip should be the tempo base) . To stop this from happening, put audio into another clip.
Yeah I have other audio units open but only 1 clip. Does this mean I should have a sort of second dummy audio clip?
Yes. It can just be a copy of the original clip. This situation only occurs when there is a single clip…as Loopy thinks a singleton clip is the tempo source. It is planned to address this in the future.
I understand! Thanks @espiegel123 for explaining
Address it how? I thought this was a feature, not
a bug
No need to worry, it won't be by removing the feature.
When there is only one loop and the tempo was already set, you should be able to trim the sample without re-calculating the tempo. When there is more than one loop you can do that. Currently if there is only one loop, you can’t.
