Latest recommendations for a USBC hub?
Very late to this party having just purchased a 2025 Apple iPad 11-inch (A16) 11th Gen (all my other ipads till now had the lightning ports.
I have seen Jakob Haq's recommendation of the somewhat pricey Union Pro+ after much frustration trying out other products, but his review is about a year old now.
The things I use mostly (variously) are interfaces for guitar and etc. (e.g. Audient Evo 8, and/or UA Volt 476, Apogee Jam, etc.), headphones or monitors (iloud MTC2), Roland SP404Mk2, and MIDI controllers.
Would like to have a headphone input, but if that has to hang off a USB dongle it's not necessarily a deal breaker.
Any more recent ideas would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

You don't need an expensive hub. Just make sure it has PD (power delivery). I would not get one with an audio port built in. Figure out how many USB-C and USB-A ports you need. Use a decent power supply.
Still very happy with the Union Pro+. I’ve had zero issues for years now and I can totally recommend it.

Same here. If I had to get a new hub and the Union Pro wasn’t available I’d definitely look for one with a detachable cable for flexibility. I assume that it makes it more repairable as well but I’ve used the same cable for five years.
A good idea, I think, is to get a male/female extension cable. That way, you can always be sure your hub is resting on a surface rather than dangling off the edge of the iPad. Then you can use any hub, even a cheap one, and you’re unlikely to have problems with the hub or your iPad port. You can then also use that extension cable for other things, like when you just need a longer cable while charging your iPad, even while not using the hub. As Espiegel said, best to make sure you have a charger with enough juice to make sure your iPad can still charge while powering the hub.
Yeah, the long detachable cable is great. I actually have two Union Pro+´s: one in my little home studio connected to my iPad, audio interface and MIDI controller, and one sits on a desk connected to a monitor for the family to use. Works like a charm with both work and school computers. The long cable makes it easy to place stuff anywhere on the the desk.
I have both Union Pro+’s connected to 61W chargers which I find is totally enough juice for my needs.

...snip...
Sorry all just talking with DM for a bit.
Är det den här du menar, står inget plus och namnet är också något förvirrande.
Japp. De har tydligen slutat sälja två varianter utan har bara den med längre löstagbar USB-C kabel nu! Klokt marknadsbeslut.
Sorry folks, we weren’t talking about you all😎. Promise😁.

Kanoners, bra pris ju! Skål på're.
I suggest you look at the IK Multimedia iRig Pro Duo I/O. They are often available "B-stock" for $180 USD. One of the best features I have found with IK Multimedia interfaces is that their L/R outputs are very loud.
(not) Google translate: Canon masters, bra prices are up! Score a pair.
...why does this read like an og forum roast toward whoever decided "The Star Wars novels aren't part of the official storyline!!" 🤔

I started use Swedish only because I linked to Swedish Amazon, hence no interest for other nationalities, or so I thought (I pile my mistakes like no other).
Now, a more accurate translation of my last slangy outburst would be: ''Great! That's actually a fair price. Cheers mate!''
Kanon (Canon) is used as slang (in some parts) for something good but doesn't translate at all into English. Kanoners is just a "fun" bend of the word kanon.
g0d it must be boring to only have one language - but then again, being so lucky it's the global one (or is that Spanish!?).
When I in 1999 moved to Chiang Mai I gave myself 2 years to be a native speaker, after 6 years, I gave up (I also moved back to S) not being even remotely close to my goal (I could make myself understood but never understood them properly).
