JWM - Peter's Theme (Client Work done on Android)
So my client wanted a videogame-styled theme song, something cutesy, and so this is what I created. I hope you all enjoy, and please ffs comment if you like it. Cheers.

Sounds like you delivered here. It does have a video-game & cutesy feel. Curious, how do DAWs on android compare to iOS?
I like the chiptune style! Did your client liked it too?
btw....nice you used my name for the theme
Nice and uplifting chiptune. Has the real feeling of jolly 2D characters jumping and running over a low res screen.
I’m interested to know what Android app(s) were involved in this.
Breaking my sabbatical really quick to post this small update. Now there exists a Lofi version.
@Dav Well, the DAWs on Android are decent.
I used FL Studio Mobile for the OG track and now this remix, and it's the same on iOS as it is on Android, both in features and lack of AUv3 functionality. I need to purchase Cubasis 3 on Android but only once @LFS and crew will hopefully add a drum module to it. (I use Koala Sampler as AUv3 on iOS for the drum module in Cubasis, but can't do that on Android.) FL Studio Mobile is amazing and perfect for making full tracks, or at least sketching out ideas for tracks that can be fleshed out in Cubasis.
FLSM is also the ideal mastering solution on Android believe it or not since it has an analyser with LuFS metering and decent internal plugins to get the job done.
@Pierre118 My client loved it thankfully. And, lol, didn't know your name was Peter. Nice!
@catherder Just FL Studio Mobile and mostly internal sounds (default with app and IAP). I used a hall kick from Deadmau5's XFer sound pack for the hall kick. Lol. Only external sound I used.
Good to hear from you, Jim! The LoFi track sounds great, and a good headphone helps to enjoy it a bit more.
Love it, agree with the video game sentiment. The original track gave me Katamari Damacy vibes, hyperrolling up an entire small village, farms and all (I could imagine hearing those bitcrushed cow moos and chicken clucks). And the Lofi version, maybe a pre or post level menu or achievement/stats recap. Good stuff! 🤙
Crazy! Your music, this one at least, sounds really supportive of visual content, as in it would be a good suit for use in cinema. This has a real animated fun sound to it. The melody is outstanding.
@Pierre118 Exactly, my friend.
Can't necessarily hear the bass on phone speakers for instance. ❤️
@Squishy I love that assessment. ❤️ I'm happy you enjoyed it.
@Ailerom Cheers mate. I'm glad you enjoyed it too.
And yes, it is indeed client work produced for visual content. And yes, I produced both versions on Android. 😎 After working on Android for the better part of a couple weeks or so, I can safely say it suits me very well. Limited options for music apps compared to iOS, but no options paralysis issues.
Of course certain genres require me to use iOS, but iOS will suit fine for client work. The client dictates the options for me to go in, so no options paralysis there either. 😄
Also Android feels more snappy on my S25 Ultra and my Ugee UT3 tablet. Like I can get more shit done.
I concur, Katamari all the way, I love that game btw!
Great job sir @jwmmakerofmusic
