[Solved] Drambo Question: Shared Amp & Filter Envelope

Potentially dumb question, but how do I go about setting up a single envelope to control both the amp & filter of a synth in Drambo? Just wanted to emulate the workflow of those old Roland synths that only had one envelope generator. Thanks.

  • The “Amp Env” modules aren’t supposed to go before the Filter, right? I’ve also tried controlling the “Amp” module (no Env) with an “Env AD” module, but the “Sustain” switch doesn’t seem to do anything.

Just use a plain old envelope, not an amp envelope. Follow it with the filter and a simple amp module. Then connect both the amp level knob and the filter cutoff (or other) knob to the envelope output. As long as the envelope is "upstream" (to the left or above) anything can be modulated by it.

@wim okay, turns out my simple mistake was just not turning down the Amp to -Inf. No wonder I couldn’t hear the effect of the envelope. Thanks!
