Solved - Midi input app?
What midi input app are you using to play and record your performances on your iPad?
Im wanting to use Cubasis DAW and have tried Geoshred in ‘slide over’ and internally within Cubasis as a midi controller in the ‘effects’ section and ‘midi effects’ section but its not recording the midi notes i play on the screen with Geoshred?
Anyone have suggestions and have tried this?

I just tried it and was able to record GeoShred into Cubasis 3.7.6 with no issues every note recorded including whammy effects etc. Did you arm the track before recording? Also try using the AU not the standalone in slide over.
@hacked_to_pieces thank you - yes thats what I wanted to do but not record Geo but another instrument that Geo is controlling/playing the notes into (if that makes sense?).
So can you use Geo to play your piano here and also record into that piano track the midi notes played with geo? If you have time would appreciate your response
Ok so go figure I tried it again just now and it worked a treat?
Guess I did something wrong yesterday when I was trying it out. . . .
Thanks anyway as you inspired me to revisit
If your trying to use Geoshred or any AU as a midi effect in Cubasis and you want to record midi you also need to press "Rec to Track" or no midi will be recorded. And yes you can use Geoshred with any instrument including the default piano.
Now this i did not know. Thank you so much very helpful. Really appreciate your help here
