odd time odd follow action
I’m having a strange behaviour here in a song in 7/8.
I start a drum pattern with a button that sends a midi message (to patterning 3), and there is a follow action with the next midi message to start the next drum pattern eight bars after last.
Weirdly that second pattern starts five bars after. Always.
Looking for a workaround, I cannot set it to 11, but I have to set it to 14 bars after last, and then it switches patterns after 8 bars ….
😆
Would someone please explain me the math?

I suggest troubleshooting by executing an action (like nudging a dial ) to see if the action is being executed when you think so that you can see if the issue is when the action is executed or when patterning responds.
What do you mean by follow action? Follow actions are series of actions triggered by events like “play clip”, “load project”, “begin recording “.
Do that and when you post back, post screenshots showing the actions you have set up, including any follow actions.
I can change patterns within Patterning, no issues, only the follow action is weird

A short video shows what I am talking about.
I was thinking that Loopy can set metronome to 7/8 but not to 7/4 – but it shouldn't make a difference when I set patterning to 16ths an 56 steps which is two bars of 7 x 4 – or is there something that I don't get? ...
@Zsolt : you found a bug. Loopy is treating 1 bar as 4 beats for action timing.
Btw,those are just actions . Follow actions are something different:
