    This is cool and I admit I’m a sucker for this kind of content cause it brings up the kid in me. But to be honest I don’t find it any interesting for musical purposes. I can record me vacuuming the house and get more interesting results.
    Still I appreciate you sharing, there have been other similar space sounds over the years, like deep space hum, the sound of the sun, and other stuff like that. But musical… it is not

    I like that too, and maybe I was a bit harsh in my reply, but my take wasn’t that it can’t be used creatively, just that it’s more effort than needs be, unless you’re making an art statement or something. Surely people have used all kinds of samples to great effect since sampling became available. I have for instance 3 feet high from de la soul on vinyl and that was ground breaking at the time, but now it’s just another sample based record.
