@TheAudioDabbler : Cool vid. I recommend that you send notes from press/release rather than press to avoid stuck notes. Or add a release action with the note message with velocity set to 0. Press/release will ensure that a note off is sent on release. The lack of note off might explain why some AU didn't work well.
Loopy probably should have put up a warning about that.
@espiegel123 interesting thought. I do remember someone mention using the release since the press on the screen could be less accurate than release. I haven’t had any issues using press. I will experiment though.
The issue is that you aren’t sending a note off. This will cause stuck notes with any target synth that expects a note off—and if those notes are recorded.
Because of the problems note on without note off causes, we added a warning to buttons about this but hadn’t added it for button grids.
In the new build, Loopy will ask if you want to move the action to press/release.
@espiegel123 I tried to change one of the buttons to a press/release being sent to Digistix and it would not respond. I will experiment more though.
Please post screenshots of what didn’t work as press/release with the same note and target should work the same (but better)
