Hey everyone!
Loopy Pro 2.0 is nearly here (hooray!), and to celebrate, I’m kicking off a new Artist Spotlight series. I’ll be chatting with a bunch of musicians who use Loopy Pro: We'll discuss their setups, how they got into LP and looping in general, and all sorts of other bits and pieces.
One of my first guests will be Dub FX, an absolute legend in the looping scene.
So, over to you: what would you like me to ask him? I can’t promise I’ll cover everything, but I’ll definitely keep your suggestions in mind.

I’m not a Looper, but I make music very much like them. Two very common blocks I run into way too often are - realising that less is more almost all the time; and recognising song material from dozens of loops…
Q:
Do you know when you got down THE loop to make the song around? Or is it just matter of experience to turn any loop into a song? How do you decide whether to keep / re-record / bin loops?

Hello Michael! Thank you very much for the excellent app and everything you do to improve it. More features – more fun. I can’t wait for version 2.0!
If possible, could you ask our brother in music, DubFx, how he gets that saw-bass sound from his voice? I know he uses Line6 Helix for it, but which effects does he use to achieve that sound?
Is it possible to get that bass sound using only AUv3 plugins, or is Helix absolutely necessary?
I’m asking for all of us who can’t afford to buy a Helix.

Learned a lot about Loopy Pro I didn’t know as well which was nice. I appreciated the comfortability you two have with one another and his through answers while sharing some random stories here and there that seemed to start and stray away but always looped (😅) back to the point.
Didn’t know I had Dub FX to also thank for the Set Lists feature cause it’s my favorite as well.
Super down to earth, really chill. You could feel that he earnestly loves the app.
