200+ ButterSynth Presets (Free)
Hi all,
I originally put these presets up for grabs last year, but there seemed to be no interest so I deleted the link, but I have just had requests for a new link to this pack which consists of mainly my own creations with added audio samples.
Enjoy….and make use of the Mod Wheel

[EDIT]
PLEASE READ MY POST BELOW TIMED AT 5.48pm, it includes a working MB Preset pack containing 200+ presets together with their audio samples.

@rapidfire i took them a year ago and thank you for your generosity.
Thank you for saying so 👍
Mike
I did NOT grab them last time but will snag now! Thanks so much!
I am sorry to say that anyone who has downloaded the 160 preset pack using the above link - please delete it from ButterSynth, for some reason they do not include any audio samples but the new link below now contains 200+ MB Presets including the audio samples.
There is a note in the zip file explaining where to paste the two separate folders. I have tested them on a different device and they work.

Try using the new link for 200+ presets instead of the old one containing 160…..these don’t all work
Did all of the presets work? Try the preset named MB Lift Off, if it doesn’t work then please delete the MB presets and use the new link below that now contains 200+ presets together with their audio samples, these do work👍

I have downloaded the zip file. When I press “share”, Buttersynth is not in the list of synths I can share with.
In the BS presets I can’t see an option to import.
Can someone explain how to do it please?
@rapidfire
Ok, I’ve figured it out. But can only do it one at a time…..is there a way to batch import?
You can save all the presets and the samples in the Buttersynth folder of your iPad at once, there is a text file in the archive telling you were to save the two folders.
Thank you so much for this giant collection of presets. Buttersynth was, and still is, too crashy for me to spend much time making anything usefull, but these are great.
edit: and everything I have tried save for the MB Lift Off preset worked, and I did simply add that sample by hand. All the other samples work out of the box.
Nope, Buttersynth doesn't see the samples. They can be added to the presets by going over Open Files App, but
Buttersynth shows no samples in the User folder.
Thank you so much for this generous collection. Import worked flawlessly as per your instructions.
Thank you for sharing the collection.
One at the time sounds weird that's not how it works with BS. Read the text file Rapidfire included in the zip, there's instructions where to put them and to then have access to'em all at once everywhere. 😉
I think it's still something wrong as all presets using a sample are set to default i.e nothing is changed like envelope, activating filter and so on and I can see in the matrix that mod-wheel is connected to the filter but if it's not on...
A few quick changes and it sounds good but I don't think that's how you intended it, or?
Also the volume is very high on some, I know this is a pain with BS but thought I should mention it anyway.
I really like that you have mod-wheel function on most, that's makes a preset fuller/whole.
Sorry for asking this question but did you paste the two separate folders into their intended destinations as my note explained ?
Great, I had fun making them 👍
You are very welcome 🍻
That is very strange, I downloaded ButterSynth onto my iPhone 13 Pro Max especially to see if the presets and samples worked properly before I uploaded the DropBox link, but as long as you pasted the “MB” folder into:
Files/On My iPad/ButterSynth/User/Preset/Synth
and the folder named “exported” into:
Files/On My iPad/ButterSynth/User/Samples/Instruments
You do know BS is shipping with presets from me, no? I'm joking but of course I did.

Now, it's impossible for me to know your intentions with a preset but almost all sample based (this if it's only sample, not fm and or WT ..) presets look like this (image), I just think it's not what you meant but if I'm wrong, well shame on me.
If the two folders are pasted in the correct destination folders as per my note then you should see all the presets as shown in my screenshot
Have a look at the preset HYPERDRIVE, does it look like my screenshot which shows a different sample

It does yes, first I see with more than 1 voice. Now I haven't gone over them all just a bunch and I thought it was strange with everything at default. Sounds good so, no complain there. Moving on.
It works now, what fixed it was starting Buttersynth once in standalone mode.
Thank you for taking the time to troubleshoot the problem, sorry that my mistake was the equivalent of not trying to turn the device on and off again
So if somebody else is having this issue with the samples: after saving the sample folder Buttersynth needs to start once in standalone mode to recognize the new samples.
I am glad it is working as it should for you.
Mike🍻
Great 🍻
