Half ambient, half song …The lonely flute (playing real flute and Korg presets)
This is an odd one, but I was in an odd mood playing my bamboo flute & whistles and this lonely melody came out. I’m playing a real home-made bamboo flute at the beginning, and my Irish whistle after that. Used all Korg synth presets for everything else.
Used these effects in AUM: moodunits airy reverb, revolv, Spatializer, QuadroSphere, Type B, TB’s MBC, some others I’ve forgotten.
Had to make the audio file below low quality to make the 2mb weigh-in…

Sounds pretty neat. You and your homemade stuff. Love it!
Why not sign up on Soundcloud? It's free to a certain level of uploads, I have almost reached the limit but I have maybe 12 songs and most are pretty long. It's never convenient to have to leave the site to listen, you know.
YouTube is also an option, doesn't have to be a movie, a still will suffice.
Magnificent!
That you for listening @Pxlhg and @Paulieworld .
Pxlhg: My sister and I are seriously talking about starting a YouTube music channel for our collaborations, so that may happen soon. Only thing that has stopped me from joining SoundCloud is I still don’t want to use a credit card over the internet, I do gift cards for all my online stuff. But I’m about to give in on that.
Hey Paulieword, I hope you’ve been having a great summer and are doing well. Hope it’s not too hot up there. We’re baking as usual down here. No AC in my car again this year. Feeling it at those 5 min stop lights.
This was a very enjoyable listen. Irish whistles were hard for me to tame when i had gone through a little phase.
Thank you, @Blipsford_Baubie. Glad you enjoyed it! Some whistles are harder to tame than others. I lucked out and got a couple easy to play ones.. Fun little instruments. Thanks for listening!
Really nice melodic choices… you always seem to find a good line over your chords.
Thanks, @McD. I came up with melody first, while playing it heard chords that would fit it, so decided to record it. I accidentally cracked the homemade bamboo flute used here. But that’s okay, it didn’t play in tune that well. Will make another. At least I got to record this with it. I may make bamboo wind chimes to hang outside with all the bad flutes I end up with, lol.
Finding a good melody and then supporting it with some great chords works too. I had a friend that was a productive songwriter that wanted all her songs to be unique and not subconscious clones of popular songs. Unfortunately, if anyone said a song sounded like something they liked she would just stop performing that new song.
