Sequencing the Loop slicer?

My layout has the loop slicer assigned to midi pads. Does the new update now create a simple internal way to sequence those button presses into a midi loop (instead of recording the audio into a new audio loop)? If so, that add major usefulness to the slicer.

The clip slicer itself doesn’t have an option to send midi, but if you set up the same midi bindings through a color to the slicer, you can record and play back the triggers.

Yeah, I can capture the slicer button presses from a controller as midi data into a loop, but having no luck routing the midi notes from the loop back to the slicer.

EDIT- I figured it out! Didn't have the midi output pointing to clip.
