Can’t say I’m familiar with any of his other music besides his one big hit Feels So Good, but that tune always brings back childhood memories of riding in the back seat of my grandparent’s car through the city. I would hum along and make trumpet (Flugelhorn) sounds with my mouth.
Thanks for the memories and the music Chuck!

Wow. I too was a kid at the time this was a hit. Maybe 15ish. My late cousin, and best friend, loved this stuff. I derided it as easy listening, as I was starting to get into punk rock and transgressive stuff at the time, and was just entering a youthful stint as an insufferable music snob.
Despite this wildly divergent, musical aesthetic, which started to converge overtime, we were still best buds. Still a breezy tune after all these years. RIP Chuck. The nice Mangione.
Just this week, Malcolm-Jamal Warner, Ozzy, Chuck Mangione and Hulk Hogan gone. Strange timing, but RIP to them all.
Same here man!
Yeah, all 80’s influencers 🙏
This week has been so sad, and now we add one more to the list of passings. I liked Chuck Mangione. He wasn't an influence on my music so to speak, but I do have some fond memories listening to his music with my mother. 😮💨 RIP, legend.
Loved his work with Art Blakey, and on King of the Hill of course! Will be missed for sure…
Rest In Peace
And now Cleo Laine
So many people dying in the last few days. I haven’t listened to this in years. He was really popular when I was in college. He had a real knack for creating a great melody that stayed with you. Oh well, we all have to go sometime.
RIP
