Help with groups

Hi All,

I’m struggling to figure this scenario out in LP. I’m sure it can be done and I’m missing something and hoping someone can get me going in the right direction.

I have a tune where the main section (A) is a multiple of 4 measures. It loops this repeatedly until…

The second section (B), which is 3 measures and plays once.

The form is: A A A B A A A B A A A and so on - there is an extended solo section of A.

What I’m try to do is create a button to toggle the B group - this I can do.

Things I’m struggling with:

1. The B group timing, since it’s 3 measures it’s out of sync with the master clock. If I’m careful, I can catch it when it’s synced up, but I’d rather it just started from the beginning if it’s loop when it’s supposed to play.

2. When B does play, I want it to play once and then switch back A automatically.

@wagdog : see the verse/chorus looper sample project and use the same play follow actions as in the verse and chorus loops: copy master length of this clip, (with last) phase align clock.

Set loop B to be a play once loop in its clip details. Swipe up on the loop to show the details panel. Add a stop follow action to play loop a.

Ahhh, I should have looked in the samples! Thanks, I’ll give this a try.
