Bicycle Toy Rattle (small) sample set
For my Patreon Reward pack 54 (July 2025), I sampled a bike toy rattle that is marketed as a “Motor Bike Sound Effects for Kids’ Bike”.
It’s a sonic one-trick pony that imitates a motorcycle engine revving up. Sound is produced by twisting its handle. The pack has 50 samples including 13 processed ones.
Stretching and transposing the samples makes them sound “larger”.
In this video, an unprocessed sample is heard followed by 24 and 36 semitones pitched down versions of it. A different and longer unprocessed sample is then heard (0:16) followed by its processed version (stretched by 200%, 24 semitones lower).
The speech sample is from the soon to be released Memory Collection 16, and yes, it's the Marx Brothers! Their first movie has entered the Public Domain in 2025.
