Moving content of a clip starts target clip unexpectedly

If I move content of a clip (simply drag to an other clip), makes the target clip unexpectedly playing. I don't remember this behavior before version 2.0 ?

What are the precise details of how you are doing this?

  • Like The Manual says:

"Hold-and-drag to another clip: Merge; place a second finger down at any time to copy, rather than move."

So I do exactly this. "Hold-and-drag to another", the target clip is empty (no merge, no copy)

    GOT IT!

    Clip Settings>Gestures

Very bottom of list - Merge Clip, hit Settings

Change "Play Target" from 'Always' to 'if source is playing' to retain state!

It looks like the default setting for the gesture is to always play after merge. Go to the gestures list and tap on Settings for merge and you can change that preference to something else.

I’ll ask about whether this should be the default behavior.

p.s. didn’t see that papa had already answered. Tx @PapaBPoppin
