using Looy pro to make a live sound mixer. issues
im trying to build a live mixer with loopy pro. im attempting to use a 6th gen regular iPad with IO16.5 connected to a presonus studio 1824C, with an additional 8 channels through a Berhinger 8 channel pre with light pipe into the presonus. in theory providing a 16 channel input into loopy pro. in loopy pro id make a 16 channel template and program the faders, eq's etc. ive just started programming it / testing it, the first problem im running into is even if I mute the input channel in loopy I can still hear the audio out. I know alot of older interfaces have the knob to balance live input and playback, but my persons doesn't have that. WHAT AM I MISSING? thank you!
also, not a novice with audio or loopy pro. I have a whole other loopy workstation separate from this one that im trying to build and if I mute an input on it, it mutes it fully.

Do you have another host, such as AUM, that you can test with to isolate whether this is a Loopy Pro related issue or something specific to the 1824C? I think it's unlikely that it's something specific to Loopy. Verifying that would help determine where to focus.
Do you have anything you can install the Universal Control software on? That looks like where you would make the monitoring adjustment, based on a quick glance at the manual.
This sounds like a configuration on the interface side. It sounds like direct monitoring is turned on in the interface or that there is a path from input to output independent of loopy. As a test, load Loopy’s default project. Mute the input.
Does audio get through from the instrument plugged into the interface to your speakers or whatever the mixer sends its output to.
Close/Force-quit Loopy. Make noise at each input and see what happens.
I installed that on the iPad that im trying to make this work on, the software isn't recognizing the interface. But THANK YOU for the idea, I use the presonus as my home interface and will reconnect to my Mac and open the software in there. thats a great idea
that worked! thank you so much!
