Korg iMS20 routing to Loopy using AUM.

edited August 2025 in Loopy Pro

So I bought the Korg iMS20 today on a whim before I realised it’s not auv3. I want to be able to play the keys using the MIDI Guitar 2 app, which is what I use for everything else (Moog Model D, etc).

The only way I can possibly see a way I can do that is run it through AUM like the following:

Korg iMS20 in AUM as an IAA source:

That AUM channel as a plugin in Loopy.

AUM as a the destination for MIDI Guitar:

It’s the same way I have my other synth plugins set up, but they’re all auv3. This should work, right?

I don’t need to adjust any of the settings on the Korg in the fly, it’s more just be able to play the notes etc.

You don't need to add AUM into the mix. You can host iMS20 right in Loopy Pro and should be able to route Midi Guitar to it with no hassle. Loopy supports IAA plugins just like AUM does.

  • Pure user error.

When I was looking to add it as a midi destination, I didn’t expect it to look like this, I was expecting it to look like all the other plugins, not like this. I’ve got it now. I think.
