@McD bemoaned the lack of GeoShred ‘stars’ on my last creation so this is for him..

Piano Motifs (Walking Bass setting) playing Decent Sampler Short Scale Bass.
GeoShred playing Decent Sampler Nick’s LP Studio through MixBox Digital Acoustic preset.

  • I needed to locate and play with this “Nick’s LP Studio”… found it on pianiobook.co.uk.

A little hassle getting it installed. I had to rename the downloaded Nicks-LP-Studio.zip to Nicks-LP-Studio.dslibrary.
“Share” that file with Decent Sampler and it installed.

Visually, it sounds like you’re soloing over a walking bass line or loop progression… Lovely pseudo guitar sound.

Have you tried the Korg Gadget called Santa Ana. I grew up in the town that neighbors Santa Ana, California.
Anyway… Korg filled it with rhythmic samples of all the major guitar types and tones. I vectored off to play with
that and see if I could get a guitar sound that sounds like a guitar using a keyboard. They never seem to sound like
a guitar but seem like a cheesy E-Piano from the 70’s era.

I wonder if playing the keyboard makes my brain hear it as something keyed and not plucked… I tried attack softener to
see of the attach was less keyboard like. I suspect I would need to mix in a pick articulation sample follow by a sustaining
    string sample.

Good playing… I like watching your chord shapes because I know learning shapes on the GeoShred keyboard might be
useful for a touch based environment and my thumbs are starting to ache from pushing too hard. I say a video of a blind
studio keyboard play and he uses his thumb at the edge of the keyboard and plays with a really flat hand. It looks like that might help me too: small motions and NO banging.

  • I think the Decent Samplers gods are against you @McD , I’ve just installed Nick’s LP Studio a second time by just opening the zip file in DS. Loads no problem, no file renaming required 🤔
I’m not a Korg Gadget man so haven’t tried that but I’m quite impressed with this DS sample.
I use both hands when playing so I think that saves some thumb contortions.
I’m always amazed when watching blind musicians, have you seen ‘Lucy the Pianist’ ?, just google it and you will find her.
Learning the CAGED system definitely aided my chord playing + for me being able to see what I’m playing on the screen helps a lot.
Here is an audio only version of the track for YT haters 😊
