Switch between looping and sequence

New to this forum after working in Loopy Pro for the past few weeks.

I am working on a duo project where I will be running various beats and synths from Loopy Pro as well as playing drums. My bandmate will be playing guitars and synths.

We have constructed a song structure in Loopy Pro using the sequencer. The outcome I want to achieve is:

  1. Start the song using the sequencer to move through the intro, verse 1, chorus 1, verse 2, chorus 2, bridge, etc.

  2. Extend various sections by switching from the linear sequence to a loop for extended jamming or to delay moving into the next section if needed

  3. Come out of looping mode and re-enter the sequence in time with the clock and end of the loop

In practice this might look like:

Step A: Start sequence to play intro of song and moves into the first verse as programmed in the sequencer

Step B: Press a button/widget to exit sequence and loop the clips indefinitely (transition and playback in time with clock)

Step C: Press a second button to exit the loop and re-enter the sequence at chorus 1 when the band is finished vamping on verse 1. Again, in time with the clock and aligned with the end of the loop.

Any tips on how to achieve this? Appreciate your help!

The Seek Timeline action lets you move the playhead within the sequence.

The Toggle Sequence action turns the sequencer on and off

You may want to check out using dummy clips and follow actions for manipulating the timeline, too:
