Video, Eleastic Drums Pre-Release Demo and Tutorial..Very Very Cool

From the WretchUp dev, this is a very good drum synth and sequencer, its still in beta so I have no release date, but I don,t think it will be long, it does have Audiobus and IAA too, so much live control

  • I love apps that automate.

  • Me too. That's now my favourite app. I'll buy it within seconds of release.

  • Awesome! Thanx for doing a video on it, Doug! I can't wait to get this one on my phone. I hope it has core MIDI too so I can play it with controllers. Could you check for me if that's possible?

  • Yeah, I will check, although I don't think it does yet

  • Really cool.

  • Great, thanks for the preview, Doug!

Thank you for the review, great drum machine, just how I like them....hope it's out soon:-)
    +1 for the automation recording

  • Looks like the perfect on-an-actual-bus-and-making-a-beat machine. And a whole lot more. Love the simplicity in the complexity (again). Seems to be the direction we're headed in. Will be a buy for sure.

  • Landscape, please?

@TedBPhx Nah, phone app for now I'm thinking.

  • edited November 2014

Yep, just phone for now. 1.1 will include iPad according to their web site.

Absolutely can not wait for this one. Thinking it's going to replace a lot of what I love about NanoLoop.

Really hoping it has MIDI sync out of the gate. I don't really care about external midi control as much but it would be nice so it could be sequenced directly from the sequencer app of your choice. Seems as though you'd be missing a lot of the features at that point—or taking 40 years to set it up—so I can imagine the developer putting it off.

some more yacking about it in the What Rumored Apps Are Coming, including links to a few developer youtube videos.

  • Very excited by this one.

  • Sweet, it's hard to find interest since seekbeats but this one does it

  • @kobamoto I agree, and it has a small file size, less than 40mb

  • Gah...Oliver invited me to beta test this, and I've been really conflicted because I've been holding off on updating to iOS8, but it's the only way to use Testflight now. Watching your demo, I'm really tempted to take my chances.

  • Well, yesterday I updated to 8.1 and so far all is OK, however my workflow differs slighty because most if it is one-off app demo's. But I have had iOS8 for ages now, and have done some multi app videos with it with no real problems

  • @accebt similar testflight woes here. Frustrating and annoying. Annoying because obviously testflight worked just fine on iOS 7 pre-acquisition. Frustrating because apple is trying to force an upgrade here when there are perfectly valid reasons to test apps on older platforms.

  • Hi there, thank you for your interest, this is really encouraging a lot !! :)

Yes, indeed, this automate stuff is the core idea of the app. I am wondering, why it is not used more often in other apps already.

The release is planned to be at the end of November, beginning of October.

Midi implementation and Midi sync is planned for an update.

And there will be a decent iPad version in landscape mode, planned for the beginning of next year. It will have a completely new layout to make it playable in a live context, where you want to avoid screen switching/scrolling like the one you have to use in small iphone devices.

Talking about iOS 8. I updated to 8.1 and had no issues yet, too. The app itself will be for iOS 7 and 8. Below makes no sense, because the app needs some CPU power, >= iPhone 4S and >= iPad 2. This is because the sounds are synthesized and no samples are used (so far).

    Keep updated here:

  • Welcome to the forum, Oliver. Nice to have you here. Looks like an amazing piece of work.

I do have Testflight installed on my iPhone 6 (iOS 8.1) if you're still looking for testers. :)

  • Funny, I'm considering this app as a rather meaty replacement for NanoLoop and I'm pretty certain that developer's name is Oliver as well. Is this a thing? If so, think I should try to have another kid and name him Oliver to get my feature requests in on the ground floor.

  • It looks like a cracking app - all the good things I like about SeekBeats, TriqTraq and Oscilab but in a more user friendly interface and timeline editor. Just hope it works ok on my old iPad 2 (I can test it if you like ;))

I wonder why this hasn't been released by now. Hopefully they'll get it submitted before the x-mas break.

  • Its nearly ready, I just had the latest build, so all is on track

  • I read the iPhone version is first, then iPad next year. Really looking forward to this one.

  • yup, iPhone first then iPad, although still great on the iPad
