A Didgeridoo Sample
Someone lamented the lack of a Didgeridoo sample and I thought “There must be available
recordings of a didgeridoo to play with in a sampling import app.”
I picked on and processed it into a wave file using screen recording and the Koala Import video
option. I exported the Koala sample to a wave file and imported it into AudioLayer for keybed mapping. I sliced the recording into 3 sections:
- just a single note (E2 is the actual root).
- a section with some tongue stops.
- a section where the player adding a strong rhythm component.
I made a recording and started with just the E2 notes for the three sample sections
and ended with a section using the single note “tones” as a keyboard patch.

The doctor asked me to take a sample to him last week, I wonder if this would do ?
Have you used one of those stool kits to check for colo-rectal cancer? It’s a lot less hassle
than the regular 5 year colonoscopies. Nasty but preferable, IMHO.
Free in the UK every 2 years if you’re over 50…
I did a course a few years ago making a stool out of wood (this is true !), that was nearly a stool kit 😀
