Play next group of loops automatically when the previus stop

Hello everyone!

I have a simple question, but I can't find it in the manual. Is it possible to make the next group of loops automatically start playing when they finish playing once? Without any action, I can automate this. How would this be automated?

There are many ways to do it. One way is to
use follow actions. But I generally recommend not using follow actions because they reduce your flexibility. But if you don’t need any flexibility , follow actions work.

The exact details of setting it up depend on how the groups are set up. If the groups are mutually-exclusive play groups, create a play follow action in a loop in group A. Set the follow action to:

    • (after 1/8th note or quarter note delay) stop play group (the loop’s playgroup) with stop quantization Loop if that isn’t already set
    • Play Play Group B

What this does is tell play group A to queue itself to stop at the end of one cycle then play play group b.

The transport needs to be running when you activate play group A to play. So make sure that play group A is stopped when the transport stops.

IMO, it is generally better to set up an action sequence (using a widget like a stepped dial) that plays the clips/groups in the desired order or use the timeline sequencer (which can be activated as needed). These give you more flexibility .
