Circa Looper Drag and Drop- No Joy

I can’t seem to drag loops in or out of Circa, as the manual assures me I should be able to do. Latest Circa, iOS 18.6.2. Probably operator error- can someone give me a clue?

    I think the manual is written for the desktop version. Likely can’t do it on iOS due to some restriction, but I’m just guessing.

    Has anyone found out how to get samples into Circa? Dragging or otherwise?

    @CracklePot is correct. I found this in the manual:

    “Note: due to restrictions on the AUV3 format imposed by Apple, dragging audio in and out of Circa is not available on iOS. No, there’s nothing we can do about this.”

    I also don’t think you can import a sample file into a slot. I think it only works with incoming audio. I’d be happy to be proven wrong though!

    I think tho Audio Damage is wrong though when they say Apple is the problem. Because there are AUv3 plugins that do allow drag and drop. Loopmix does, from memory, though it didn't when it came out and I think I remember it was a pain in the balls for them to implement.

    Off the top of my head I also did it for Gauss and Fluss. It's definitely possible, but yeah, everything that smells like file handling is a ballache on iOS.

    Maybe a JUCE thing they don’t want to workaround?

    Drag and drop into an AU is not impossible in some sort of absolute sense. .Drag and drop into Loopy Pro AU works; we’ve not yet implemented dragging out of Loopy Pro but Neon audio editor AU does it in both directions.
