Crossfading between clips
Hi folks! I'm trying to get a manual crossfade between 2 clips of different colors. I have 2 drum loops with each different effects baked in. I'd like to manually morph from one into another. I tried :
Using a low pass filter on one color and a high pass on the other. Both set on a slider widget. I kind of works, but somehow the low pass filter doesn't remove all frequencies, so I'm left with some muddy sounds.
Using a volume crossfade. Both volumes set to a slider widget. But the linear nature results in a dip in volume when both are set to 50%.
Using a volume crossfade, but with some finetuning by creating a 4 actions widget. Action 1 has the controller input from 0-50% and volume from 0db to -3db. Second action the controller input from 50-100% and from -3db to -inf db. Action 3 and 4 are the inversion for the other color. Somehow I can't get this working regardless on how I setup it...
Is there maybe an easier way?
Also, would it be possible to achive this if both loops are on the same color?
Thanks in advance!

Equal-power crossfades are planned and I think a relatively high-priority, but I am not sure when they will happen.
I don’t know of a good way to fake it.
If you have Drambo or Mozaic, maybe they could remap a midi ramp in a way that work but I don’t know if 7-bit midi’s lack of granularity would get in the way.
I will wait then for the equal-power crossfades. Do you know by any chance a filter has a high/low-pass that completely removes all frequencies? Preferably something on the cheaper side? I could use this meanwhile!
