One AU instance on 2 channel strips ... bug?

edited September 2025 in Loopy Pro

I put one instance of ToneX to 2 channel strips (busses) and later I tried also GigFast Lite with the same result. I expected that setting of any app value is applied to both channels equally because only one app instance is used. But it is not happened with ToneX and GigFast Lite as well in my case:

Hi. How did you put "one instance" of an app in 2 channel strips?

I chose the same app marked with "A" from the list. All already used apps are marked like that.

Right. It sounds like maybe those amp modelers do not respond to that request from Loopy Pro to use the same instance.

Edit: In fact, I'm not sure if loading the same instance of an audio effect in two channels is really possible. AUM and Audiobus do not offer it as a possibility.

@filo01 : we will look into this.

Just to clarify (and this is covered in the manual), those aren’t really the same instance. While they should maintain the same settings, they are actually separate instances though the settings should be the same.
