  • Oooh pretty 😍

  • Looks pretty fun actually. Drambo in a box, kind of.

  • Here’s a live stream

  • Hmm, there's a new OXI controller on his desk.

  • As I watch EZBOT video, this is a device you put sounds into and and shape/add fx, etc. Cool.

The first thing I ask, can I do something similar on the iPad. Someone mentioned Drambo. AUM seems like another choice and having AUV3 fx on the tracks.

Anyone else thinking of other ways to emulate? Not looking to replicate everything one-one. Or just buy the thing if that is your jam.

That’s interesting, as it’s a knob based controller I wonder if it will have a setting to use it as Monone Arc ? I hope so as their sequencer has an option to boot it as a Monome grid.

Looks like a riff on Midi Twister.

to me it looks like a Soundfont player with an Elektron sequencer in which you can also create/record your own instruments.

Groove Rider 2 comes to my mind when watching loopop's review... Jim's work is quite revolutionary!

  • Is “polyphony” in the Tonwerk sequencer still in effect just a chord mode? Total buzz-kill for me with Octatrack that was…

  • Sounds to me like this is for people who use multisamplers, like taking a monosynth and making it polyphonic. Why someone needs to spend this kind of cash on a hardware unit when software is probably faster, easier, and more reliable though . . .

I'm sure it's got some powerful stuff going on and might be fun to play with if someone handed me one for free. I just sold the third Octatrack to come and go from my studio because the iPad makes working with samples so much easier than hardware.

Gushing influencer videos aside, how much demand is there for a device like this in 2025? Feels super niche and expensive while lacking performance and editing features a lot of musicians want.

Samplr, Salome, Spacefields, Spacecraft for starters in terms of bringing audio in. Tons more.

Buy the Tonverk if it's for you. If not, man do we have some cool virtual toys!
