Having a swell time with my guitar...

Huge shout out to @wim for the Drambo envelope. I'm having such a blast with this on a daily basis, just blowing away in sound and mind. Thought I'd share a small part...

It all came from a thread not too old but obviously my brain is, can't recall the header for it (I tried). Anyway, here's wim's simple genius 😃

  • Bangerang! No worries, I’ll recreate, thanks man (and @wim ). Happy jamming

  • Nice playing and tone @Pxlhg. You certainly got better results than I did. 😂

  • Sounds killer @Pxlhg

What are you using for your interface?

Thanks! I'm using a Scarlett 2i2, second gen. for the iPad Pro. I do have a Zoom UAC-232 (32-Bit) for the mini, maybe I should try a swap as Aum actually support 32bit and Reason Studio does not, then again: it's a bit over the top for me anyway 😄 Why do you ask?

  • It’s nice to enjoy a piece of music and know that the player was enjoying themselves as well 👌

    Oh I was just curious.

You see these guys with their high end interfaces (like the ones that cost over a grand), and I listen to their stuff thinking “where did that money go?”…

Now I, like you, use a Scarlett interface (mine is the 3rd gen 4i4), but then sometimes when I’m just tinkering around on the couch, I’ll use my old trusty iRig HD, and to my ears, it sounds exactly the same as the Scarlett, and exactly the same as the high end ones I hear people online use. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Does anyone ever say “man, that’s a really nice sounding interface you’re using there!”?

just thinking out loud here lol

Maybe they last longer; the high end ones.

It’s true I did have to send my original 4i4 back for a warranty replacement after the OG mysteriously quit working completely out of the blue one day.

    Build quality?

It's a very interesting question, you should start a new thread with that subject. Let's hear the Apollo owners worm through that hole😅, jokes aside though: i found this article which early on state this:
"There was a time when there was a huge difference in the quality of various preamps, but these days, most of them have quiet preamps and decent digital to analogue convertors. All the recommendations are at least 24 bit and capable of 192 kHz sample rates, with the option of 48v phantom power."
